M'sia says to maintain current fuel prices
KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYSIA will hold fuel prices at their current level, Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said.

Malaysia heavily subsidises pump prices of petrol and diesel, which are among the lowest in Asia despite historically high crude oil prices.

But Mr Abdullah added that there were limits to controlling prices.

He was speaking to reporters on Tuesday after opening the Invest Malaysia conference, the country's main investor event where policy-makers and top chief executives meet fund managers in an effort to drum up more foreign investment. -- REUTERS
