Vote for the McDonald's Champion Kid
THE 10 finalists for the McDonald's Champion Kid programme have emerged.

The number will be further reduced to three cub reporters with the best presentation and who best capture the spirit of the Olympic Games with an 'Olympic moment' picture that is compelling enough to win your vote and a trip to Beijing 2008?

The three winners will share with Singapore their first-hand experiences of the Games come August.

From today, The Straits Times will feature two finalists each day for you to decide. The finalists can also be viewed at www.mcdonalds.com.sg.

The three kids with the most number of votes will win for themselves and a parent an all-expense trip, worth about $20,000, to the Games.

By voting, you stand to win one of three $200 McDonald's gift certificates. To vote, SMS to 77877 in the format 'MCK Contestant Code Your name' by May 15. Each SMS costs 20 cents.

Winners of the McDonald's Champion Kid will be announced on May 24. The draw date for the gift certificates will be on May 26. Winners will be notified by post.

'I should be chosen as a McDonald's Champion Kid because I love sports, I love to present things I know about.

'I play basket ball, soccer, tennis and I swim, cycle and roler blade. I have been on television for a few times and I've been part of a musical too!

'I would love to have an experience at Beijing 2008 Olympic games if I have the chance! Just to add on, I have participated in a triathlon and a few biathlon.'
