$3.68m raised in 2007 for ST Pocket Money Fund
Needy schoolchildren will get more support now that a record amount has been raised for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. The amount surpassed the target of $3.6 million.

Fund chairman Peter Khoo said a National Council of Social Service survey showed that beneficiaries needed more support to cope with rising inflation.

Meanwhile, Beacon Primary pupil Soh Qiu Lin, seven, helps the fund start the year with a bang on the first day of school.
