Fans ditch Britney tickets

MELBOURNE (Australia) - AUSTRALIAN media is reporting hundreds of tickets to Britney Spears' concerts in Melbourne and Sydney have been listed on eBay this week.

According to a report in the Herald Sun newspaper, the ticket sell-off began after Spears' management admitted she would be lip-synching at all her shows and more turned up for sale following disapointing reviews of Spears' Melbourne concert on Wednesday evening.

The tickets are being offered for as little as 99c with no reserve, most are offering pairs of tickets or other multiples and most say that they can 'no longer attend' as the reason for the sale.

It is a buyer's market due to the number of tickets now available and most are being sold well under face value. One 'diamond-class' standing ticket for a Sydney concert is valued at AU$200 but is being offered for AU$32; 'diamond-class' reserved seating tickets valued at AU$220 are being offered for AU$100 or less, reported the Herald Sun.

On Wednesday at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne fans were offering to give away premium tickets worth between AU$200 to AU$1,500 because they felt 'ripped off' reported Australian media.

Spears came under especial fire for her sloppy dance routines. 'If you're going to mime, at least learn how to dance,' one disappointed fan said and independent ticket broker Shaun Black said the Circus tour was a flop: 'It has been really tough. I will lose a lot of money with this tour.'
