ROME - KANG Li of China leads the semifinal round in women's 10-metre platform diving at the world championships.

Kang scored 390.95 points through five dives. Melissa Wu of Australia qualified second with 364.45 points and Paola Espinosa of Mexico was third with 359.75.

Olympic champion Chen Ruolin advanced in fifth position.
