LONDON - RUSSIAN international winger Yuri Zhirkov has signed for English Premiership giants Chelsea, the club's new manager Carlo Ancelotti said on Monday.

The Italian, speaking at his first news conference since being appointed Blues boss, confirmed the arrival of Zhirkov and former Manchester City forward Daniel Sturridge at Stamford Bridge by saying: 'Zhirkov, Sturridge - these are Chelsea players.' -- AFP
