NBA superstar Kobe Bryant will be in Singapore on July 22 as part of his six-city tour of Asia as hosted by Nike to meet with his young fans from across the region. Besides Singapore, he is scheduled to visit Manila, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Chengdu from July 21 - 26. The Los Angeles Lakers shooting-guard helped his team claim the NBA Finals Championship last month, beating the Orlando Magic 4-1. He was also awarded the Finals Most Valuable Player award, after averaging 32.4 points in the five games. It was also Bryant's fourth Championship ring, after claiming the three-peat from 2000-2002. 'I'm looking forward to returning to Asia to see the progress the kids have made since my last visit,' said Bryant in a statement. 'I liked what I saw then and I'm planning to work the kids even harder to give them a better sense of the dedication and hard work it takes to be a champion.' | |
