National team amateur Kevin Huang Wenyi shot a second 68 to lie eight-under with Thailand's Pariya Junhasavasdikul, who shot a 67.

Li Chao (67), Australian Anthony Brown (71) and 20-year-old amateur Han Ren (70) share sixth on seven-under, one ahead of Thai legend Thaworn Wiratchant (68), He Shaocai (69) and Korean Lee Joung-Wook (70).

Barnes is targeting a second victory in three Omega China Tour events following his win at April's Sofitel Zhongshan IGC Open in Nanjing.

'I'm quietly confident, but I won't think about who wins till 4:00pm on Sunday,' said Barnes, who hit a Tour-record opening 63 in the first round of the inaugural 700,000 yuan (102,000 dollar) competition.
