Charged over Armstrong theft
| SACRAMENTO - SACRAMENTO police have arrested two men on charges related to the theft of a bicycle belonging to seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong.
Officers said on Tuesday that they arrested 39-year-old Lee Crider on suspicion of stealing Armstrong's Trek Livestrong 1274 and two other bikes from members of Team Astana. Another man, 34-year-old Dung Le, was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property. Officers say Crider stole the bicycles from the back of a rental truck while Team Astana was in Sacramento in February for stage one of the Tour of California. Crider then sold Armstrong's time-trial bike to Le, who turned it in to police four days after it was reported stolen. The other two bikes have not been recovered. -- AP | |
