Mas doubtful for Wales
| PARIS - FRANCE coach Marc Lievremont has ruled Nicolas Mas doubtful for the Six Nations clash with Wales in a fortnight after the Perpignan prop was diagnosed with a two-centimetre tear in one of his adductor muscles.
Mas picked up the injury, on his left leg, in the first half of France's 22-13 defeat of Scotland at the Stade de France on Saturday. He was replaced for the second half by Renaud Boyoud. Although no time limit has been put on Mas's return he is expected to miss Perpignan's trip to Top 14 rivals Bayonne next week. Another Perpignan player, centre Maxime Mermoz, is set to undergo scans through his club after sustaining a thigh injury against Scotland. Third row Imanol Harinordoquy, who plays for Biarritz, picked up a knock on his left ankle during the match, according to France team doctor Jean-Philippe Hager. France will on Wednesday unveil a 23-man squad for their third match of the tournament against Wales at the Stade de France on February 27. -- AFP | |
