Maradona arrives in England

MANCHESTER (England) - ARGENTINA coach Diego Maradona has arrived in England, continuing his trip to meet with his country's Europe-based players. Maradona, who was confirmed as national team coach this week, met with Barcelona's Lionel Messi on Thursday in Spain. He is visiting England to speak to Manchester United's Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano of Liverpool. The former Argentina great, who led his country to the 1986 World Cup title, landed in Manchester on Friday ahead of the weekend's Premier League matches. Manchester United is at Arsenal on Saturday, while Liverpool hosts West Bromwich Albion. -- AP | |
