WORLD No. 9 Feng Tianwei has handed Singapore a dream start in the women's team semi-finals against South Korea on Friday.

Feng crushed Dang Ye Seo 11-5,11-5,11-2 to put Singapore 1-0 up.

In the second tie, Li Jiawei is up against Kim Kyung Ah - the player who denied the world No 6 a bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Games.

Should Singapore emerge victorious, the Republic will be guaranteed at least a silver, its first medal in 48 years.
