MARINA Barrage is the setting for TheatreWorks' annual 24-hour playwrighting contest this year.

The Barrage, built to dam the Marina Channel, resulted in the creation of the Marina Reservoir. It has become a popular outdoor spot.

The natural surroundings will be an inspiration for aspiring playwrights who will spend 24 hours there this month penning a new work.
