More families seeking shelter

WELFARE groups and social workers say they are seeing more families asking for help in getting a temporary roof over their heads.

Family service centres (FSCs) - charities located in the heartlands that people can turn to for help - say that before last year, they saw a handful of such cases annually.

Now, they get a similar number each month.
