A doctor should be in charge

| ONLY a doctor should be in charge of looking into complaints about doctors, say nearly 800 doctors polled by the Singapore Medical Association (SMA).
They want the Health Ministry (MOH) to withdraw a proposal to have a senior lawyer or judge chair medical disciplinary tribunals for complex medico-legal cases. Their reason: Medical issues are too difficult for non-doctors to grasp, and might well lead to more time and hassle getting patient's complaints resolved.
