Going Gaga over music
SINGTEL mobile customers can download more than 500,000 songs from the world's biggest music label, Universal Music, onto their mobile phones and computers as part of its new Amped music service.

The service, launched on Sunday by pop artiste Lady Gaga, is available for free to users with SingTel 3G Flexi Amped post-paid mobile plans which cost between $39 and $95 per month.

While the songs downloaded are copy-protected, users will also get 15 non-copy-protected songs per month, which they can send to other music fans and continue to listen to even if they were to switch to another telco later.

Copy-protected songs cannot be played on someone else's phone or computer.

Those on other SingTel mobile plans can switch to the Flexi plans at no extra charge - although the new Flexi rates will apply - and without affecting their remaining service contracts.
