A MAN was charged on Thursday with punching a woman customer in the eye.

Low Chye Hoe, 46, is said to have punched Madam Lin Jianping, 32, in her left eye at Block 83 Marine Parade Central on Jan 4.

He asked for an adjournment to settle his personal matters.

He will appear in court again on June 11.

If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to two years or a fine of up to $5,000 or both.
