Bacteria on chopping boards?

| THE chopping board is perhaps the least fanciful item you will find in the kitchen. Yet it has attracted an inordinate degree of scrutiny lately: Is it a breeding ground for bacteria?
After the worst case of food poisoning in Singapore recently claimed two lives, food contamination and every stage of the cooking process has literally been under the microscope. Given that most used chopping boards look a little dirty no matter how hard and often they are washed, they have naturally become the centre of attention.
