Increase in illegal intruders

| DESPITE Singapore's best efforts to stem the flow of illegal intruders, the number of people trying to sneak into Singapore is rising.
Last year(08), the Police Coast Guard(PCG) spotted and chased off 245 suspicious vessels - nearly four times the number in 2007. In the first three months of this year alone, 58 vessels tried to land on Singapore's shores, but failed to do so, up from 27 in the same period in 2008.
