One-stop security checks?

| IF YOU travel, say, from Singapore to the United States via Japan, you are screened twice - once at Changi Airport, and again before you get on your connecting flight in Japan.
Re-screening of transit traffic is a common practice. But for Singapore travellers who pass through Europe, things could change. The European Commission is keen to explore a one-stop security system for flights to and from Changi Airport, transport spokesman Fabio Pirotta told The Straits Times.
