Unlike most other hotels which start operations with a soft opening before an official launch, the new hotel on Sentosa welcomed its first guests with a grand opening on the same day.

The guest of honour is Deputy Prime Minister Professor S. Jayakumar.

Among the first events the hotel will host include Rolls Royce launch of its new car model 200ex and Gucci's Spring Collection presentation.

Rates at the hotel with 111 rooms, including 38 villas and 11 suites, start from $750.
