Set for biz quiz finals
By Melissa Kok
THE final four teams from the four local universities - NTU, NUS, SMU and SIM - will be battling for the top spot in Singapore Press Holdings Foundation's inagural Universities Business Quiz on March 14.

Up for grabs is a cash prize of at least $6,000, as well as job attachments for each winning team member.

In the semi-finals held on Saturday, two teams from each university had to pit their business knowledge and financial skills against each other, with the emerging victor moving on to the finals.

And it was no easy task. Teams were tested on their knowledge of movers and shakers in the business world in a segment called 'Who Am I', while one member from each team was placed through a speedy one-minute trivia in another segment called 'Lone Ranger'.

Finally, teams were also given 15 minutes to troubleshoot a realistic financial scenario and come up with a business strategy or plan to present to the judges.

Only SMU, SIM and NUS participated in the semis. NTU did not participate as one of their teams had pulled out.
