Prakash Rajendra, 26, a Malaysian, pleaded guilty to insulting the woman's modesty at a condominium in Upper Bukit Timah at past midnight on Oct 17 last year.

A magistrate's court heard that the victim, a 21-year-old woman, was taking a shower when she left the bathroom window louvre facing the common corridor slightly open for ventilation.

Prakash was on patrol duty at the high floor of the apartment block when he heard the sound of someone showering.

He took a dustbin and stood on it to peep at the naked victim.

Her boyfriend reported the incident to the police.

Prakash could have been jailed for up to one year and/or fined for the offence.
