Pub, factory broken into
By Joanna Seow

TWENTY bottles of hard liquer were stolen from a pub on Gemmill Lane on Monday.

The 23-year-old owner of Club Fabulous left the pub secured in the early morning, but when she returned in the afternoon, she found the two rear doors open. She found the bar counter ransacked and several tools from the storeroom scattered on the floor. The cash compartment was missing from the cash register and the coin box from the pool table had also been taken.

About $400 in cash as well as $2,250 worth of hard liquer were stolen.

The second break-in took place at a factory on Admiralty Street over the weekend.

The proprietor of the factory told police that two computers worth $2,500 and a fax machine worth $200 were missing from an office on the fifth floor.

Preliminary police investigations found signs of tampering on a door knob at the side of the factory and the blinds of a second floor window were spoilt.
