The airline is expecting the lucky millionth customer within the next six weeks.

He will enjoy a host of prizes at his destination, while all passengers on his flight will be presented with champagne and other SIA giveaways.

The millionth A380 customer comes less than 18 months after the inaugural flight between Singapore and Sydney in Oct 2007.

Since its launch, the world;s passenger aircraft has clocked over 20,000 flying hours on more than 2,000 commercial flights.

SIA currently has six of the aircraft in its fleet.
