Helping Malay heart patients live longer

| MR Abdul Hamid Shariff, 78, had a triple bypass in 1994, following a heart attack. In 2004, heart failure set in, with a leaking heart valve and a blocked artery.
He had to be admitted to hospital seven times for his heart problems in 2006. But things changed the following year after he enrolled in the National University Hospital's (NUH) heart failure programme. Read Salma Khalik's full story in Monday's edition of The Straits Times. | |
