S'pore Flyer's tenants badly hit
By Tessa Wong & Esther Tan
IT WAS expected to be one of the busiest periods of the year, but instead shops and restaurants at the Singapore Flyer are now seeing business drop by nearly 90 per cent.

This is due to the observation wheel temporarily stopping operation until at least New Year's Day, pending an investigation into the Tuesday incident which saw 173 passengers stranded onboard for nearly six hours.

When The Straits Times visited the attraction yesterday at lunchtime, most of its 24 tenants were open save for a handbag shop and a bistro.
