Court quashes conviction

|
MORE than two years after he was locked away for life, Australian courts have quashed the conviction of Singaporean undergraduate Ram Puneet Tiwary. Tiwary was jailed in 2006 for murdering his two Singaporean flatmates in a Sydney apartment. The three-judge appeal court upheld the appeal by Tiwary, declaring that the trial had been improperly carried out and ordered that the case be sent for re-trial. Read K. C.
