SOPA is a non-profit organisation committed to responsible journalism and works to establish standards and guidelines for publishers.

Mr Alan Lammin, who was re-elected as SOPA chairman, warmly welcomed Mr Loh to the executive board.

'With the difficult times ahead, it is now more important than ever to provide a strong and united platform for Asian and international publishers to network and collaborate on common industry issues.'

Mr Loh said he looked forward to learning from regional counterparts in the committee and making a positive contribution to the publishing scene in Asia.
