Food prices rising
| By Jessica Lim | |
| JUST months after food prices began retreating from record highs, the tab on some products is rising again, sparked in large part by the weakening Singapore dollar.
About 45 products - mostly canned food, biscuits and condiments - have seen their price tags jump up to 25 per cent as the buying power of importers shrinks. At some supermarkets, a 450g bottle of AAA Black Beans now costs $1.75, up from $1.50 last month. A 700g packet of Vits plain noodles now costs $2.30, up from $1.85 over the same period.
