S'poreans mourn online
SINGAPOREANS are mourning the death of Ms Lo Hwei Yen online.

On the social networking site Facebook, more than 4,000 members have joined the three groups that have been created in her memory.

Thousands of condolence messages have been posted for Ms Lo and her family members through these Facebook groups and also on The Straits Times online discussion board.

Many of these messages come from Singaporeans who do not know the victim and her family personally.

Mr Lim Teck Yong wrote on Facebook: 'It's very sad that a young promising life was taken in such a manner. I pray that comfort and healing will come upon the family of the late Ms Lo Hwei Yen.

'No words we say or post will make any difference, but I want the family to know that there are people out there who grieve with them in times like this...'

A post also came from across the crossway from Mr Muhamad Abdullah of Kuala Lumpur. He wrote: 'It saddens men to note what extremism in the name of religion has led to the passing of a beautiful yet innocent soul like Ms Lo.

'Even though we have never known you & your family personally, but we share this sad moments of members of the family and those who has known and loved her.'

Others, like Mr Timothy Pang, posted links to pictorial tributes containing her personal photographs and messages from Singaporeans.

Ms Lo's friends have also gone online to spread details of the wake.

Ms Daphne Kuah wrote: 'Please be dressed in BLACK GLAMOUR, the way she will like.

'This is the dress code aligned with family members. Appreciate if all guests can come as per dress code. Yen loves glamour. She is the glamour of every party.

'This is the last one we are having with her. And we want it to be a beautiful one - the way she would have wanted...'
