Tang Siew Pheng, 38, who is in the administration line, allegedly slapped Ms Kuwati, 26, and used her right knuckle to knock on her head at a house in Lothian Terrace in East Coast on Feb 24.

She is also accused of similarly hurting the Indonesian a day earlier.

Her mother, housewife Kee Hui Khoon, 63, is alleged to have used her knuckle to hit Ms Kuwati on the head and slapped her on the left shoulder on Feb 23.

The next day, she allegedly used a knife cover to hit the maid several times on the head.

Mr Subhas Anandan said his clients are claiming trial. The case has been fixed for a pre-trial conference on Dec 2.
