Hit-and-run driver sought

POLICE are looking for the driver of a lorry who knocked down and killed a Bangladeshi worker in Tuas on Sunday night.

The lorry was travelling along Tuas South Avenue 4 at about 8.30 pm when it collided with the man in his mid-20s.

The lorry then drove off.

The man sustained multiple injuries and was pronounced dead by paramedics at 9.30pm.

In another road accident, a motorcyclist was knocked unconscious by a car early on Monday morning along Sims Avenue East.

The woman rider, in her early 20s, was hit at the junction of Lorong Melayu at about 1.50am.

She suffered abdominal injuries and was taken to Changi General Hospital.
