A 71 YEAR-OLD woman was rushed to the National University Hospital after she was hit by a car while crossing a road on Sunday.

She sustained serious head injuries and was sent to the intensive care unit of the hospital.

The car was travelling along Jurong West Avenue 4 towards Jalan Bahar when the collision occurred at about 9.50am.

The 31-year-old driver is said to be unhurt.
