A DRIVER, who slammed his black Mitsubishi Lancer into a tree along Bedok North Road at around 11am, had to be extricated from his car by the Singapore Civil Defence Force on Friday morning. He suffered head injuries and multiple cuts on his legs. The driver was found to be in a drowsy state when SCDF personnel arrived, and was taken to Changi General Hospital by noon. The car was badly damaged. The driver's side of the car had been completely smashed in. Its bumper was torn off and the windscreen was completely shattered, with half of it lying in a nearby ditch along with a licence plate and a rearview mirror. The driver was said to have been alone at the time of the accident. | |
