IN A rare move, the police have released pictures of personal items belonging to the woman whose badly decomposed body was found by two passers-by at Bukit Batok Nature Park on Monday morning. The woman was found lying on her side just over 2m down a slope in dense forest fringing Lorong Sesuai, a small road linking the park to Upper Bukit Timah Road. They have so far been unable to identify her, and could only determine that she was between 25 and 40 years old, about 1.53 metres tall and clad in a beige three-quarter sleeved polo shirt with black pants. The body was so badly decomposed that police could not even identify her race. The woman was also found to be wearing a silver ring on her left ring finger, and a yellow ring on her right. She also wore a silver chain around her neck and a Seiko watch on her left wrist. The watch was still working when she was found. No other means of identification, including personal documents, was found on her person. Police also clarified that her face was not covered in a brown cloth, as stated in previous reports. They have yet to establish if the body had sustained any injuries as the post-mortem results are not out. The case has been classified as unnatural death. The next-of-kin or anyone with information on the deceased should call the Police Hotline at 1800-255-0000. | |
