Experts speak on city living
SCIENCE and technology is the holy grail to easing the pressures of city living of the future.

More than 20 world experts in this area are in Singapore to share their views on the innovations and issues that will impact urban development in the next 50 years, when population numbers in cities are expected to balloon.

Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Professor S Jayakumar opened the two-day conference, called Futuropolis 2058: Creating Sustainable Urban Environments though Innovation, on Tuesday .

The conference is part of a week-long festival to celebrate the opening of Singapore's science and technology powerhouse, Fusionopolis.
