Elderly woman conned

| A 79-YEAR-OLD woman was conned of her $800 gold necklace while she was out shopping at Syed Alwi Road on Wednesday morning.
She was approached by a man who claimed to know her, and invited her to a nearby coffeeshop for a chat. He then asked to look at her gold necklace. When she refused, he grabbed it from her and fled. Witnesses can call the police hotline at 1800-255-0000. | |
