Health campaign targets youths
| YOUTHS will be encouraged to 'breathe' at the National Healthy Lifestyle Campaign this year.
The campaign, themed 'Breathe - Game for Life', will focus on encouraging youths from ages 13 to 23 to embrace health, life and self-expression, instead of pessimism and insecurity. This is the first time that the drive is targeting youths, and is in response to the growing emphasis on youth health here. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will launch the campaign at the Padang on Nov 7. The launch event will showcase non-conventional activities and strong elements of music to encourage youths to cultivate healthy habits Two new initiatives have also been rolled out this year: a portal - www.breathe.sg - to engage youths on various health issues and provide information on the campaign, and a series of pre-event activities. | |
