Tourism firms sign pact

TO ADDRESS the high turnover and staff retention in the travel industry, 12 companies have vowed to provide a clear promotion track for staff under a new programme.

Under the new Advance for Skills scheme, they will recognise training certificates issued by Singapore Workforce Development Agency and provide a clear promotion pathway based on guidelines set by WDA.

The agreement was inked on Thursday by WDA, the Tourism Management Institute of Singapore, Chan Brothers Travel, Tradewinds Tours and Travel, Dynasty Travel International, Wildlife Reserves Singapore, Hogg Robinson Group, Commonwealth Travel Services Corporation, Singapore Flyer, Singapore Discovery Centre, Safe2Travel, Mount Faber Leisure Group, Anglo-French Travel and Westminster Travel.
