SINGAPORE Airlines on Tuesday cancelled one flight to Hong Kong and re-timed another because of disruptions caused by Typhoon Hagupit. In a statement, SIA said flight SQ870, which was scheduled to leave Changi Airport for Hong Kong at 7pm on Tuesday, has been cancelled. The return service, SQ873 will also not operate. Flight SQ002, scheduled to depart Singapore at 5.50pm on Tuesday, will leave on Wednesday at 9am. Travellers who have registered for SMS alerts will be notified via text messages on changes to their flights. Those whose flights are cancelled will be assisted in re-bookings on subsequent flights and are advised to call SIA's reservations call centre at 6223 8888. SIA said, 'The re-scheduling has been made due to circumstances beyond our control, and in the interests of maintaining safe operations of our aircraft in the bad weather conditions.' 'We apologise for any inconvenience caused.' | |
