SIA cancels HK flights
By Karamjit Kaur Aviation correspondent

SINGAPORE Airlines has cancelled all its six flights to Hong Kong on Fri because of bad weather.

In an advisory just out, the airline has advised customers booked to travel to the city today not to go to the airport.

They should instead stay in touch via the airline's website for latest information about schedules.

SIA said: 'Information about when flights will be operated will be advised when the weather conditions in Hong Kong clear. Customers booked to travel today will be accommodated on flights as early as possible, and information will be made available when schedules are settled.'

As for those expecting to meet customers flying in from Hong Kong, the only SIA flight from Hong Kong, which will operate on Friday, has already arrived.

SQ1, from San Francisco and Hong Kong arrived at Changi Airport at 11.20am this morning.

All other flights will not operate until further notice, the airline said.

More information as and when updated, is available at SIA's website at www.singaporeair.com.

People can also call the Changi Airport flight information hotline on 1800 542 4422.

The advisory said: 'Singapore Airlines apologises to customers for the disruption, caused by extreme weather circumstances, beyond the Airline's control.'
