Man held for growing ganja

SEREMBAN - MALAYSIAN police detained a man after discovering two marijuana plants measuring 0.9 metres high behind his parents' house at Felda Pasoh 2, Jempol. State Narcotics CID Head Supt V.R. Ravi Chandran said on Monday that the self-employed 25-year-old man was detained at about 11am on Saturday after police had conducted a surveillance on his activities. He told reporters that police investigation revealed that the suspect was a drug addict. He said police had taken the two ganja plants to be sent to the Chemistry Department for analysis while the suspect was being remanded to assist in the investigation.
