IPOH - A MALAYSIAN Indian Congress (MIC) committee member was hacked to death by several men in a robbery at his house in Buntung early yesterday morning. Ipoh Barat MIC treasurer N. 'The incident happened at 2am...He was attacked and hacked by several men with machetes,' Ipoh police district chief Azisman Alias said at a news conference. Mr Sitamparam was found with injuries on his head, hands and body. His 60-year-old wife was tied up, but she was not hurt. Police said Mr Sitamparam's Proton Waja, a mobile phone, some cash and jewellery were stolen. The police district chief said the MIC member was attacked by three to five men.
