Indonesia hosts Thai talks

JAKARTA - INDONESIA is hosting talks between the Thai government and community representatives from the country's restive Muslim south, state media reported on Saturday.

The closed conference at the Bogor Palace outside Jakarta is being mediated by Indonesian Vice-President Jusuf Kalla and will continue until Sunday, the Antara news agency reported.

A media official for the conference contacted by AFP said proceedings would not be reported.
