| TOKYO - JAPAN'S Sanyo Electric Co Ltd said on Thursday it plans to cut 1,200 workers in its chip division both at home and abroad.
An executive at Sanyo, set to be acquired by Panasonic Corp, also said its chip operations are likely to post a 20 billion yen (S$336.7 million) loss in the year ending in March. -- REUTERS | |
