S'pore shares gain 1.1%

| SINGAPORE shares closed 1.10 per cent higher on Thursday, partly on gains in the property sector, dealers said.
The benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) gained 19.66 points at 1,798.95. About 891 million shares exchanged hands. Gainers beat losers 207 to 169. | |
