S'pore shares close higher

SINGAPORE shares closed 0.41 per cent higher on Tuesday in a market lacking direction, dealers said. The benchmark Straits Times Index advanced 7.33 points to close at 1,782.09. About 788 million shares exchanged hands. Losers beat gainers 195 to 161. | |
