KUALA LUMPUR
Malaysian share prices ended 1.2 per cent lower on Monday led by losses in plantation stocks while domestic political uncertainty further bogged down the market, dealers said.

The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index shed 12.40 points to close at 1,031.63.

HONG KONG
Hong Kong's stock and money markets are closed on Monday for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.

Markets will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index closed down 0.2 per cent on Friday ahead of the holiday.

Several other major markets in the region, including Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Seoul were also closed for public holidays.
