LONDON - THE new daughter of actor Jude Law was met by the rest of the world, before her father had a chance to, reported entertainment media on Tuesday.

Five-week-old Sophia was featured on the front cover of Britian's Hello magazine with her mother Samantha Burke, who is quoted as saying: 'Jude hasn't met Sophia yet... but I'm sure he'll be a wonderful father.'

Ms Burke reportedly received US$290,000 for 14 pages of photographs in the magazine as well as an interview.

Apparently there are no plans for Law to meet his newest daughter, Ms Burke said: 'I know he's busy. He'll fall in love with her when he sees her.

The American model also brought up comments saying she was a 'gold digger', saying that the suggestions 'really hurt'. 'People who know me will testify that I have never dated a guy for money.'

A report in the Los Angeles Times said that Law would not be a part of Sophia's life but would provide for her financially. Law has three other children with ex-wife Sadie Frost.
